It was a day filled with radiant smiles and laughter, special moments like a first look with her father and a lot of family heirlooms. A personal favorite were the amazing bouquets. I will always remember Emily’s excitement about her wedding gown – FEATHERS affixed to the bottom made it truly unique (and extra beautiful and delicate) and she was most looking forward to her first look with Matthew when he’d see the dress she picked for their memorable day. And I was the lucky one to capture it all!
“Something blue” was plentiful from Emily’s wedding day shoes, to her sparkling blue eyes, a sapphire and diamond bracelet borrowed from her mom and even a blue “evil eye” charm that was sewn into her gown.
Matthew prepared for the day with his groomsmen, father and future father-in-law. He gave all his groomsmen the awesome mini Jamboxes, by Jawbone, pictured above.
Their wedding rings were engraved inside – Matthew’s was extra special and contained some original engraving from when his grandfather wed with it in 1945! Emily’s engagement ring is special too: her diamond is Matthew’s great grandmother’s.
I just love this bridal portrait of Emily. It’s so sweet, just like her! I love how it highlights the incredible detailed beadwork on the bodice of her Rosa Clara Soft gown.
Emily even matched her glitter manicured nails to the soft pink Silk and Willow ribbons that tied her bouquet together.
I love a bridal party that knows how to get both sentimental and goofy!
Full Aperture Floral nailed the flowers. They even put MINT leaves in some of them along with a personal favorite: Fiddlehead Ferns! (Those spiral things!)
Time to party! I loved what they created for the reception room. Mint green linens covered about 20 tables, which were adorned by beautiful table numbers and either a low centerpiece of flowers or taller tree centerpiece. Their sweetheart table and chairs were decorated with various flowers and these cute signs.
I love when a couple matches a menu to their stationery suite…love, love! So classy.
There was a ton of dancing! Even a friend on crutches was on the dance floor to celebrate!
Shortly after their wedding day they honeymooned in Greece. How dreamy is that?
Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your day and not just work together on the day of but be such an incredible part of the process from the day you contacted me, Emily and Matthew. I truly loved getting to know you both and sharing in Emily’s excitement throughout and I am looking forward to always keeping in touch!
