Warm weather and limited wind for a beach wedding in April is a god-send but when the cherry blossoms are in full force and you have an added bonus of spring flowers nearby it’s a truly extraordinary day! Christine and Joe were married on the beach in Sea Bright, New Jersey on a Saturday afternoon with blue skies, bridesmaids dressed in navy blue and the smell of the sea and white garden rose bouquets in the air.
Christine made sure she paid attention to detail and it shoes in the photos! She gifted her bridesmaids with custom hangers and robes. She was sure to stick to her navy blue, blush and silver + gold color palette. Her Badgley Mischka shoes had just the right amount of sparkle to compliment the beaded belt on her wedding gown.
This Jersey wedding had hints of NJ scattered throughout the day like this wine bottle tote in the rooms they were getting ready in and the New Jersey state shaped sugar cookies they had as reception favors for their guests.
Isn’t her white garden rose bouquet stunning?
The cherry blossoms were a dream…but second to the incredible weather on the beach! Soon we were off to the venue from the hotel and it was time for their picturesque first look.
Christine also gave her bridesmaids statement necklaces to complete their wedding day look. I love that Joe’s suit matched their dresses. His polka dot tie is pretty cool too!
Matt, the groomsman on the left, is one half of the couple that introduced me to so many awesome couples I’ve photographed since his and Melanie’s wedding day years ago. As a result I’ve come to know and adore many faces at many of their weddings, including a lot of the groomsmen pictured above. They always make me laugh!
A quick application of a beautiful lace-edged veil and a few minutes of downtime before the ceremony and it was time for everyone to head to the beach, just feet away since the venue is literally on the beach 🙂 and get married!! Their blush pink invitation with gold leaves was perfect for the season.
The risk of getting married in April paid off: there were hardly any people walking on the beach so this couple and their family and friends had it all to themselves.
I adore well dressed guests! And they had plenty of them. Joe was most looking forward to their first dance and Christine was most looking forward to their reception overall. As the moon peeked out and the last of the indoor candles were lit it was time to enjoy cocktail hour and party at the reception! Navy blue napkins rested on white linens with tables decorated with a mix of high and low floral arrangements comprised of white hydrangeas, greenery and dusty pink roses.
This is one of my favorite reception photos! They’re perfectly framed by the tunnel their wedding party was forming on the dance floor for them to walk through.
Congratulations to a beautiful couple! For even more check out their gallery on Facebook. And if you’re interested in photography for your wedding day don’t hesitate to contact us!
