Matt and his groomsmen got ready in a very urban, cool NYC Air BnB conveniently located across the street from where Lynn and her bridesmaids were preparing at the Sheraton Tribeca. (His mom stopped by for some finishing touches!) We loved photographing some of Matt’s details on the splatter-painted surfboard at the apartment. The light, airy feel of the room Lynn got ready in was perfect for her details too. I L-O-V-E-D the view of Manhattan from the room, including an incredible perspective of the Empire State Building.
I was obsessed with the flowers throughout their day, especially Lynn’s fall bouquet. It had some of the prettiest ranunculus I’ve ever seen, Helibores flowers, fall greenery and leaves, and Japanese Andromeda (a personal fave!). Her bridesmaids wore cranberry gowns and had complimentary blossoms and the men all wore perfect boutonnieres whose main focus was a single green leaf.
They decided to have their first look for their Tribeca Rooftop wedding…on the rooftop! You can see the Freedom Tower in a lot of their photos because the venue is not too far from it. After an emotional (and very sweet) first look we took to the streets of Manhattan for some iconic photos of the bride, groom and their bridal party. I love the blue tile backdrop, the brick and the cobblestone in their photos!
Isn’t that teal Mrs. Box awesome? I love that they opted for a silver monogram on it and a spot for two rings instead of just one. Their white gold bands fit so well in there! How amazing does the wedding party look on these stairs? They add such beauty and softness to the streets of NYC.
Their ceremony was held on the rooftop because it was truly a perfect September day and the overcast weather situation made it comfy cozy up there. (Not too sunny or harsh!) One of Matt’s best friends and groomsman, Robbie, performed their ceremony and they recited their own vows. Both things made for an extra-special ceremony during their Tribeca Rooftop wedding.
Guests were handed signature cocktails as soon as they made their way from the ceremony area, around the outdoor corner to the cocktail hour space. The sushi bar is always a hit and I can say first-hand it’s really good sushi! There was also a dumpling station, cheese and mediterranean antipasti bar, and plenty of passed hors d’oeuvres. I’ve been so fortunate to photograph the weddings of several groups of friends and I was very excited to see a few guests at this wedding, including Shannon and Thomas, who introduced me to Matt and Lynn, and were married a few years before them.
The reception room was set for a wonderful dinner filled with great speeches, beautiful centerpieces, candlelight and PLENTY of dancing! The bride and groom love bands so they named each table after an artist or band. Theirs was “Lord Huron”. They were also incredibly excited to have a live band there, one of the first vendors they hired after they started to plan their Tribeca Rooftop wedding.
They thought of everything! There was even a hashtag decal on the mirror of the ladies’ restroom! I love details like that.
Rooftop photos of the evening sky and city lights and an intimate cake cutting was the perfect end to an incredible day. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. McCreary! Thank you for letting me capture your incredible day – it was truly one for the books!

Lynn & Matt a big congratulations on your wedding. All the pictures in this depiction are amazing and you stand out and radiate happiness through the pictures. I wish you all the best of luck in life, but I also hope that our roads meet one day. If you are interested in visiting Lynn’s heritage in Sweden, I would like to be Giude and can show where in Frödinge as Axel Lindblad (Debra’s mother’s father) was born and grow up before emigration to the US.
Kind & Best Regards
