A small wedding at The Stockroom at 230 in downtown Raleigh with the bride getting ready at The Glass Box was the perfect kickoff to 2017 weddings! LaTonya and Reginald met as kids in school and have known each other most of their lives – the bride still has a note he wrote he in the early 1990s, which of course, as a hopeless romantic, I love! But it wasn’t until many moons later they’d come together to become husband and wife on a gorgeous spring day. Their wedding was intimate with a small special guest list of mostly family and a few close friends – the perfect witnesses to see them begin this next important chapter of their lives as spouses.
LaTonya is such a sweetheart and her loveliness was especially radiant as she transformed into a bride. She wore a v-neck wedding gown and rhinestone embellished belt with a corseted back. Her scalloped veil had rhinestone touches to compliment the front of her gown and complete the look along with her silver and gold sparkly shoes. Her perfume was appropriately named “Amazing Grace,” which she certainly has!
One of her best friends, Ashlie, was such a supportive cheerleader for the day. She bought LaTonya all sorts of fun things including a “bride” bag, embroidered monogrammed shirt for her to get ready in, and a monogrammed handkerchief. I was especially grateful for the rhinestone compact mirror I quickly photographed their diamond white gold rings on!
The ceremony was set for an elegant ceremony with an alter accented by a hanging chandelier and beautifully draped white fabric. After tying the knot, we were able to sneak away for some special bride and groom photos, just the two of them, and then celebrate with amazing food by Rocky Top Catering and a delicious cake cutting too! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Seymore. I feel very honored I was able to capture your day!
