INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH MIKKEL?
DON'T HESITATE TO REACH OUT.
Last week I enjoyed a few days in Raleigh, North Carolina; a place I have loved visiting since I photographed Shantelle and Andrew’s wedding there this past February.
I stayed at the most wonderful Air BnB called “Cookie’s Garden Suite” and was spoiled rotten by Trish and Steve, the hosts of the home. One of the great features of their house is their garden. I loved sitting there doing work and catching up on emails.
I’m working hard to expand my wedding photography business to North Carolina, starting with Raleigh. I had a great “coffee date” with the ladies of A Southern Soiree (Megan, Gina and Kailey – loved spending some time you!) and stopped by Barnes and Noble afterwards to get some wedding magazines that are local to the area, like The Knot Carolinas and Southern Bride. Okay, maybe I also got a hummingbird cupcake from The Cupcake Shoppe for an afternoon pick me up to indulge in while reading…
…and enjoyed coffee I made from the coffee maker Trish and Steve were so kind to put in their Air BnB room!
I proudly worked with a fabulous team for a gorgeous styled shoot in Umstead Park while I was there too, including Priscilla of Orangerie Events, who was in communication with me for months to get this off the ground and Brooke of Belle’s Catering who worked with her friend Mary to get the most delicious food styled and camera-ready. (More on that later, after it’s published!)
I even enjoyed photographing a bit more of Cookie’s Garden Suite while I was there. Isn’t it charming? I love the different lanterns hanging on the front porch. Isn’t it adorable? Check it out on Air BnB here. I’m excited to visit them again – next time I vowed it’d be to enjoy the front porch in their company and I’ll bring the wine!
I’m happy to say you’ll be seeing many more posts about North Carolina!
Happy {Travel} Tuesday!
