INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH MIKKEL?
DON'T HESITATE TO REACH OUT.
I adore a great big wedding. But I also love smaller intimate ones. Luckily there is something out there for every couple, no matter the style, feel or location they’re interested in. My good friend, Brooke, dreamed up Mad Dash Wedding to provide a bit of an “All Inclusive” option to couples and it’s taken off like a wildfire! The weddings are held at her Leslie-Alford Mim’s House venue in Holly Springs, North Carolina. I am so proud to have photographed Leticia and Tristan’s Mad Dash Wedding, and even prouder Budget Savvy Bride wanted to feature it!
Here’s beautiful memories from their awesome day.
Brooke is really quite amazing at making her couples feel special. She is certain to ask what colors they love and what inspiration speaks to them. Leticia loves purple and the Picasso calla lily boutonniere, and purple couch in the bridal suite spoke to me. Even the gemstone side table with hues of purple and blue-green spoke to me for detail images.
Here is Tristan, getting ready in the ultra masculine, dreamy groom’s suite. Their wedding was a bit more casual than some larger, formal ones. I loved that Tristan stayed true to himself with his outfit; he opted for dark jeans, a white shirt and black skinny tie, and white blazer. He already owned his white leather loafer shoes, PERFECT for his wedding day! And I couldn’t get enough of the fedora hat he wore too. Everything perfectly paired with Leticia’s short, beaded wedding dress.
Leticia’s sister and mom were there before the ceremony to help her prepare for her day.
Leticia carried a bouquet with white roses, lisianthus, Picasso calla lilies (Tristan’s boutonniere was designed to match) and silver dollar eucalyptus. They had an adorable first-look on the porch of the historic southern home before we spent a few minutes exploring the property to capture more bride and groom photos.
I loved Leticia’s nails! I’m a sucker for details and her glitter-tipped manicure had my heart fluttering. The sparkle matched her white, rhinestone Betsy Johnson blue-soled shoes too.
We headed inside for their ceremony time inside the Ladie’s Parlor area of the house. It was the perfect space for a small elopement. Bright, tropical flower adorned the fireplace and a photo of Tristan’s mother was placed nearby in remembrance.
After their ceremony everyone happily participated in some family photos. A celebration was waiting in the reception space adjacent to the Ladies’ Parlor. Light bites and a lovely cake cutting with a beautiful petite red velvet cake were prepared for Leticia, Tristan and their guests. I even loved the black and grey ombre champagne glasses Brooke and Belle’s Catering put out for a champagne toast.
Some celebratory cigars with the men on the porch closed out the wedding for me! Congratulations to the newlyweds! I’m so happy I could be a part of your beautiful Mad Dash Wedding at Mim’s House North Carolina.
