After almost a decade of dating and meeting back around the turn of the “century” at the bride’s friend and the groom’s cousin’s quinceanera, Kanny and David said “I do” in their home, New York City, in a gorgeous, elegant wedding. Spotted with hints of mint green and pink, and spring in bloom everywhere, we dashed about NYC from Manhattan to Brooklyn, to capture their first look, some fun wedding party photos and their wonderful reception.
There were so many details to love in their day from the gold doily enclosure and ribbon tied invite to their diamond encrusted wedding bands. I loved Kanny’s sparkly navy heels that perfectly completed her spring floral wedding bouquet.
Aren’t these robes fantastic? They’re some of the best I’ve seen – the color photographs so well and looks fantastic on Kanny’s bridesmaids. I love how smiley Kayla is here! 
Their first look on the rooftop of the Empire Hotel was iconic! The Manhattan skyline surrounded us…
But when Kanny tapped David’s shoulder to turn around everything around them disappeared. It was just the two of them and the first loving moments of seeing each other dressed up for their wedding day. 
Talk about bringing sexy BACK! How incredible is this Pronovias gown on Kanny? It was perfect for her! I love the lace illusion back and dramatic train. She wears it so well.
Her bouquet was so fab! There are garden roses, succulents, eucalyptus leaves, peonies and ranunculus in there. I even see some Dusty Miller leaves! The florist knocked it out of the park.
The Empire Hotel is just steps from Lincoln Center. How could we resist heading over to this NYC landmark and snapping a few iconic images? 
Kanny dressed her bridesmaids in mint green gowns. Her maid and matron of honor, Janice and Sheila, were always by her side. Sheila was in a pink gown and a few of the women had beautiful cap sleeves. They all look so great together! Not to be upstaged by one adorable ring bearer. Check out those aviators on Desmond! 
One of the most fun parts about galavanting around NYC for wedding photos is all the excited pedestrians that yell “congratulations!” as they walk by. Kanny, David and their wedding party were getting a lot of thumbs up from this tour group!
Kanny and David have been together so long that Kanny’s a second mother (not so much a step-mother) to David’s absolutely beautiful daughter, Kayla. I love this family photo! I’m also OBSESSED with the Victorian feel of this background I spotted near their ceremony location in Brooklyn – it looks downright awesome with their wedding colors.
One more cheer then off to get marrrrrried….folllowed by major party time just a few minutes away at Deity, Brooklyn. 
The room looked absolutely fantastic. It was filled with floral arrangements on round tables (the peonies and anemones were highlights, once more), and bud vases with single stems and succulents on rectangular tables. Their sweetheart table had wood cutout “Mr. and Mrs.” words. Twinkle lights were everywhere – a photographer’s dream! 
Their dessert table was also a highlight. Cupcakes and sugar cookies carefully crafted with floral decorations in mint green and pink matched the two-tiered round pink wedding cake with a gumpaste succulent and ranunculus. 
After speeches, dinner, and their first dance it was time for a memorable mother-daughter and mother-son dance. And after these two cut the cake they danced the night away to classic songs, Latin and pop music! All before jetting off to Thailand for their honeymoon.
Congratulations, you two! Your wedding was gorgeous and I’m honored I could be such a great part of your day.
