We wanted to create a soft ice blue inspiration shoot in a beautiful, airy, modern venue with both white and off white elements for The Glass Box Raleigh Wedding Photos, Blue and White Inspiration. Soft pinks and blues were paired with pops of agate and gold for high contrast and interest against the neutrals of the ladies’ gowns and venue. We threw in a bit of sparkle too! Not just on the beautifully embroidered wedding gown but also with incredible jewelry and crystal touches.
The venue is one of the best in downtown Raleigh – The Glass Box is airy and welcoming with various full floor-to-ceiling window views of the surrounding city. You can dress the space up or down depending on the event and color palette. I’m obsessed with these blue pillows! They highlight the pops of blue in the bride’s bouquet so well.
There’s great area to hang gowns in and…did I mention?…amazing natural light. The bride’s gorgeous diamond wedding ring and diamond and sapphire band were the perfect match for the palette. The agate was the perfect piece to style them on. I nestled the show-stopping metallic Jimmy Choo heels between some lush pillows as I styled the stationery suite nearby. (I love that the bride, Casey, had gold painted toenails too!)
Velvet pastel ribbon dancing over an envelope with transparent blue calligraphy rocks my world!
The bride’s bouquet was plentiful, created with anemones, berries, eucalyptus, silver brunia, dusty miller and more. The bridesmaid’s bouquet had an addition of Queen Anne’s Lace flowers. and just enough variety to differentiate the two.
I’m delighted this marble and gold cake has been a HIT on social media! Everyone is loving it’s hexagon bottom tier, beautiful swirling of colors and floral accents. We were thrilled to see its original debut on one of our favorite sites, Glamour and Grace, in an exclusive first feature. It was recently featured on Pnina Tournai’s Instagram account. (She’s the well known designer who makes many appearances on TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress.)
I am still gushing over how amazing it all looks. (I admit, I have looked at them all day in the past, several times over!) Don’t you just love how the textures of the bride’s tulle gown, the soft pink chiffon of her bridesmaid, fabric linens, plush pillows, and textures of the bouquets feel against the modern design of the space? I am fairly certain I could look at these photos all day.
Swoon! Place “cards” and table numbers with names in gold calligraphy on the agate pieces, eucalyptus garland, quartz geodes, and blue and clear glassware really complete the scene. There were even cocktails to match! Mmmm…now I’m craving one.
Some finishing photos on the rooftop deck were the perfect way to end a delightful shoot!
