INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH MIKKEL?
DON'T HESITATE TO REACH OUT.
Her dedication to her love of Cherry Blossoms and my desire to give Leyla exactly what she envisioned for hers and Beejan’s session made this dream a reality. It was the first time an engagement session of mine would depend on the weather – not the rain or sun in the sky, but the temperature affecting the blooming schedule of awaited spring Cherry Blossoms. Ahh, and so the landscape architecture degree I have rears its head again! I immediately think “What hardiness zone are we in?” Okay…back to non-geek talk.
It had been a cold winter (aren’t we all, all-too-aware?) and so the pink petals of the trees hibernated for longer than usual. But with a watchful eye, on a gorgeous May morning, I received notification from Leyla that the peak bloom of the esplanade’s Cherry Trees reached their prime height and it was GO TIME! And so we went. And captured their beautiful, palpable love amongst the splendor of spring.
These two are getting married in just 2.5 weeks. I’m so grateful to have been a part of capturing this special time in your lives, in season and chapter. Huge congratulations to you both!
Happy Friday!
