April 19 was yesterday and I celebrated another year passed and another year ahead. It was an outstanding day that left me feeling pretty darn special!
I came home to an amazing hand drawn birthday banner from my wonderful boyfriend (@dan_woodruff on Instagram for more of his impressive art) along with a fresh bouquet of flowers. We took a walk on a perfect-weather morning to get coffee and I was spoiled with a delicious home-cooked breakfast. I was so happy to celebrate with my family and best friends this past weekend too but to make matters better, my best friends had more flowers delivered to my door and, for extra icing on the cake, I had an incredible dinner, dirty martini, and Haribo gummy bears for dessert (a personal favorite). Nevermind the thoughtful text messages, calls, Facebook posts, and more.
We recently took a trip to Charleston and my boyfriend was kind enough to capture this photo. Guess how old I am?!
I’m looking forward to more adventures with my couples this year, all-around travel to new continents and locations (and beefing up my travel site, SometimesHome.com) and simply continuing to be grateful for my family, friends and a career I am so incredibly passionate about. I adore them all more and more each day.
