February is the loveliest month in my humble opinion. It when there’s a glimmer of hope it will, in fact, get warm again. A sign spring’s on the horizon as buds are more and more evident on trees. Of course Valentine’s Day is an internationally renown holiday that happens in this month. And with hearts aflutter, Mollyann from The Stockroom at 230, one of the best downtown Raleigh wedding venues, came to me with an idea for a berry inspired, romantic shoot. The hues of red and pink that shine through the shoot is right in love with the love between relatively newlyweds, Anna Laura and Scott, who were our gorgeous couple!

The farm tables were lined with greenery garland and colorful flowers for a winter wedding.

The details in this shoot were plentiful from velvet stationery pockets with the couple’s embossed initials by One and Only paper, to the incredible “warrior princess” like hair style and sizzling how makeup by Wink Hair and Makeup. I pretty much melted when I saw the bride in her sequin Hayley Paige gown from Tre Bella in Durham, carrying a stunning bouquet from them as well, head towards the ceremony setup. Her beauty was only enhanced by jewelry from Bailey’s, including rose gold wedding bands, oval diamond engagement ring, luxurious hanging earrings and a chain-link inspired diamond bracelet.

Farm tables were set up in the space, with white cross-back chairs. Each place setting had stacked white plates, copper flatware, a silk linen napkin tied with greenery, and a hand watercolor and calligraphy name card placed on top to indicate the guest’s seat. Green garland hung from the tables with a colorful of colorful flowers placed throughout the strands, making the downtown Raleigh wedding venue shine.

The bride’s bouquet contained three types of eucalyptus, fuchsia peonies, berries, pale pink spray roses, hot pink garden roses, blue thistle and more. It was beautifully tied with silky, maroon ribbon.

They recited vows in front of criss-crossed drapery in the downtown Raleigh wedding venue, with greenery accenting its edges. More green garland lined the aisle and candlelight added even more romance to the scene.

The bride and groom sat at a special sweetheart table just for the two of them. The red velvet linen added warmth in front of the vintage bricks wall behind them. They toasted to a great wedding day with pink champagne flutes topped with a gold edge as chandeliers, market lights and tapered candles twinkled throughout their winter wedding dinner.

There were certainly plenty of indulgences to enjoy throughout the event, from white and red macarons topped with edible glitter by The Cupcake Shoppe, to Berry in Love signature cocktails by On the Rocks Bartending served in copper mugs from The Stockroom at 230’s brand new custom bar. Their “love” was literally on display as they had tons of fun with ZimZoom Photo Booth’s pictures before enjoying a walk on historic Fayetteville Street, which the bride enjoyed under the coziness of a pink throw blanket from Greenhouse Picker Sisters.
